With almost two decades of emergency medical expertise, CCAT owner and lead operative Derek O. Hanley distills his years of experience into a unique and effective brand of high-level training.

Derek started his career in fire/EMS in 1998 as a first responder/EMT, he served four years active-duty in the United States Air Force as a paramedic/instructor, and also served four years in the NY Army National Guard as a medic/instructor. He has worked in four separate level-one trauma center emergency departments (two military, two civilian), was a line fire officer for a volunteer department in Texas, and has operated in every scope of civilian EMS from austere to urban. He has over ten years experience as an EMS educator, training over 1000 students during his tenure, from federal agents, national parks police, and ex-special forces, to physicians, nurses, and everyday citizens wanting to gain the skills necessary to save a life.

With a strong desire to raise the quality of emergency responder training, he formed CCAT and recruited a specialized instructor team, who continually strive to achieve the highest level training, and ensure that you and your crew are able to effectively operate under the intense level of duress that the emergency environment can produce.
